I am running a course starting in a week or so called “A Short Introduction to Christian Faith”. I’ve been working on it for a while and am really looking forward to it. We’re using it as both a pre-confirmation course and a course for anyone who wants to get the basics down.
For anyone interested in getting onboard, and for anyone else who wants to talk to me about it (or about publishing it!?), here’s the outline:
A short introduction to Christian faith
OUTLINE
§1. God the Creator
§2. Creation: good and ordered
§3. God the Judge
§4. Sin and evil: a problem that goes very deep
§5. God the Saviour: Jesus’ life, death and resurrection
§6. The nature of salvation
§7. God the Redeemer: the Holy Spirit and the future
§8. A new life in a new community
§9. God the Trinity: Father, Son, Spirit
§10. The Bible, the Church, and the sacramentsThe course aims to give a brief introduction to the basic aspects of the Christian faith. At its core are the five core studies which introduce the God of the Bible (§1, 3, 5, 7, 9). Each of these is followed by another study that draws out the significance of these core studies for us (§2, 4, 6, 8, 10). I hope in time that it will be able to be used in a variety of ways.
Have you thought of videoing the sessions?

Am keen to do something like for our Growth Groups or as a separate systematic module. Let me know how it goes.
I’m doing some confirmation classes early next term. Could you send me through your stuff. I would love to have a look at it.
